Is there an estimated time for addon fix?
“Hoje ando devagar porque já tive pressa.” I have all the time in the world, my friend, thanks.
HI! Im copying this message, bc i have the exact same issue.
Loved the add on last semester and had no issues with it whatsoever. Can anyone help out?
“Im about to throw my 8BitDo Zero 2 controller. It worked for a semester, but now when I go to connect it through bluetooth, my PC says 8BitDo zero gamepad connected but this is where it gets fucked.
In Anki, its not reading that the controller is connected. The light on the controller is solid blue, the computer thinks its connected, but Anki doesnt.
In the deck menu, the D pad works, it pulls up browse when I press UP, DOWN, LEFT, or RIGHT.
Also, when in a deck on the question screen, the B button works. I still cant change any of the settings bc either Anki or Contanki isnt reading the controller is even connected.
What Ive tried:
-Forgot the controller and reconnected it about a million times
-Deleted and reinstalled Contanki, restarted anki
-Deleted and reinstalled Anki
-Updated the controller firmware from 8BitDo website
-Tried it on a different computer, also didnt work so its definitely a controller issue
So frustrating that the buttons on the controller clearly work but does anyone have any idea to try and save this controller before I yeet it out a window?”
Are you on 25.02.1? That version has a known issue at thee moment, either downgrade or use this add-on to fix this temporarily.
Anki Version: 25.02.4
OS: Arch linux
Issue: Anki crashes 2seconds after startup upon installing the contanki addon.
Steps to reproduce:
Install either aur/anki-bin or aur/anki to compile from source.
Optionally can use a clean config directory & profile directory.
Optionally can have other addons enabled or disabled.
Install Contanki and restart anki.
Relevant output when launching from terminal:
/usr/include/c++/15.1.1/bits/stl_bvector.h:1158: constexpr std::vector<bool, _Alloc>::reference std::vector<bool, _Alloc>::operator[](size_type) [with _
Alloc = std::allocator<bool>; reference = std::vector<bool>::reference; size_type = long unsigned int]: Assertion '__n < this->size()' failed.

Anki Version: 25.02.4
OS: Win 11
Issue: 8 bit do zero 2 “freezes” while using contanki, I’m using X mode
Details: while I’m reviewing cards, after a few reviews (sometimes 10, sometimes 100 or more), my controller freezes. When I first encountered this problem, I simply restarted the controller, which didn’t always work. Then I found out that a simple alt+tab/ windows button works and I continue on reviewing until it freezes again, however it’s still very annoying and the main issue remains unresolved, therefore I’m asking you for assistance as I was not able to find anybody with the same or similar issue. I’ve tried updating the firmware of the controller and even the bluetooth drivers, but to no avail.
I use an 8BitDo remote and often, I have to press buttons twice for them to work. I am fairly certain that this is a Contanki issue because I do not have the issue when I use the controller with my mac, which does not require me to use Contanki. Any suggestions?
Hello! Did you ever find a solution to this?
I’m also having this problem
Hi, I just added Contanki and I was able to configurate my 8BitDo Zero 2 the way I want. The issue is : everytime I turn on my controller and it automatically syncs up with Anki, it syncs up as a Xbox controller, which messes up all my settings and I have to go manually change the type in the parameters.
I’d like to know if I’m doing something wrong in the way I configurated Contanki or the way I’m turning on the controller maybe ?
Thanks in advance !
