Keyboard Shortcut Overlap Bug Report - MacOS

Hi there!
Since the new update on MacOS the shortcut for unordered lists (command + ,) overlaps with the preferences shortcut.

When I want to make an unordered list and I press the shortcut, it opens the preferences window.

I’ve found a similar topic in the forum but it seems it’s an old report and the GitHub issue is closed and resolved. I guess the bug is back in the new version again! It was working fine before the update…

It would be very nice if you could fix this bug; the shortcut was pretty handy!

Hope this report helps!
Thank you for your wonderful app!

Anki 24.11 (87ccd24e)
Python 3.9.18 Qt 6.6.2 PyQt 6.6.1
Platform: macOS-14.0-arm64-arm-64bit

There was only one shortcut update that I can see in 24.11, and it wasn’t that. Preferences should still be Cmd P – I’d think.

  • Have you run in safe mode to make sure another add-on isn’t redirecting Preferences?
  • Do you have any external 3rd-party apps running on your Mac that might be changing keybinds/shortcuts?
  • Are you using a keyboard layout other than English/International-QWERTY?

Thank you for your quick response. Somehow the bug resolved itself! I guess it was fixed after I reopened the app. It was a temporary bug apparently!

Thank you for your support.

Hello, this bug still persists!

Since it was resolved for OP, you should definitely –

  1. Try the thing that worked for OP.
  2. Answer all of the other questions I asked OP.
  3. Provide some details about what you’re seeing, what else you’ve tried, and your system (go to Help/Anki > About – click Copy Debug Info – paste that here when you respond).
