Error syncing since December

Hi Danika.
I’m still getting this error. I started getting it before 2026 (late december). Can’t log in on any device, CAN access anki web.

This doesn’t seem related to the widespread certificates error thread you posted in, so I moved you to your own thread.

You should make sure you’ve tried all the things in those FAQs. Then you can look at the recent (the past month, at least) syncing error threads on the forums – Syncing & AnkiWeb - Anki Forums – see if one of them seems to match yours, and comment there with details about what you’ve tried, what is happening, when it started, etc. Or if it’s something different than those threads, you can post separately in that category, so we can take a look at your account.

It looks like your AnkiWeb account is fine from our side, so it’s likely related to whatever changed with your devices or your internet around the time the issues started for you.

You can try that if you want to, but if you can’t sync with your current account, there’s no reason to think you’ll necessarily be able to sync with another account. You might as well try to fix the problem with the account you have.

[But if you decide to go that route, you should run Check Media and clean-up your unused media first. There’s no sense in uploading all of that (you have over 1GB of media in your collection) to another account.]
