Using the “Data folder” or “XML zips” methods (if you were not using that already) is likely to provide better results. You can also share the file and I’ll take a look:
I’ll try using the data folder method
It worked!! Thank you very much!!
Hi, I am struggling to import my anki decks from AnkiApp to the official Anki. I bought AnkiApp unlimited (probably a mistake) thinking it would fix it, but it seems it will only export decks that I have created. I am trying to export decks that I was shared out of AnkiApp and import them into the official Anki. I tried to us the add on but I got an error message. I think its because I can’t find the folder where my AnkiApp data is or the database folder either. I’m on Windows 11.
My error message:
Anki 23.12.1 (1a1d4d54) (ao)
Python 3.9.15 Qt 6.6.1 PyQt 6.6.1
Platform: Windows-10-10.0.22631
This doesn’t appear to be the full error message.
My error data exceeds the limit of the textbox (around 37000 characters). Could I share it with you another way?
Can you trying sending it in a private message? If that doesn’t work and you can’t attach screenshots (due to new user restrictions), you can send it to my email (click on my profile picture to see it).
@Baba I released an update that fixes the error.
100 percent fixed. Thank you so much for your help!
Attempting to use copycat tool to transfer from ankiapp to anki results in this error:

Hi Abdo, I managed to input the anki cookie code thing in the addon config. It says im logged in, however, when i click import it says 0 cards imported. Im guessing this is because they’re decks i got from the anki pro library. You said they were scraped from the anki web library but i could’nt find any of the decks i found on ankipro library on it. Is there any other way of importing these decks into anki web? Thanks
Could you please help me.When I try to import from anki app it says ‘Anki encountered a problem. Please follow the troubleshooting steps.’

Please upload the file to some site like https://gofile.io/ and share the link with me (my email is on my profile page)
The add-on doesn’t work with AnkiPro library decks. If you can’t find the decks by searching on AnkiWeb, I’m afraid I’m not sure how to get them.
Make sure AnkiApp is closed.
Ive been having issues with the add on. It lets me import the deck with the title of the deck intact and the correct number of cards but every single card is completely blank. If you have any suggestions or advice on how to get the deck intact any advice is greatly appreciated. (Im on mac and also importing from anki app)
If you open the deck in the Browse screen, do all fields show empty?
They do
Can upload the file you’re trying to import and post a link? https://gofile.io
Hi I am trying to convert my deck from ankiapp to anki, however once I try to use the add one and it imports the cards come up as this: “The front of this card is blank.
