Update interfering with sync, App wont open


Hello!
I’m trying to open my anki app on my desktop and it starts to open and sync, but the update message is preventing the sync from finishing and I can’t click on anything, including the option to update the app now.
I have to force quit the app and have restarted my computer to no avail.
Thanks for any help!

You can fix the problem either by installing the latest version, or by starting Anki while holding down the shift key, and then clicking on ignore.

I’m having the same issue but I am not able to click ignore
The buttons to either ignore, No or Yes are not Click-able

And i have just updated to the 2.1.33 version - something is wrong - I think all my cards were deleted
Please help!!

And i am also getting the error of the app being unable to quit

To quit, I had to click on the apple in the left corner and then click force quit.
Starting it again by holding down the shift button worked.
