Please, let me know if I am asking too many questions
you probably are in cards browser (?)
in the study screen (as a showed you) it just asks you the question, then shows you the answer when you press Show Answer
if you see a list, you might be in card browser (?) it doesnât show you a list of the word on review screen. it shows you one card at a time
itâs alright you can never ask too many questions
See, I am struggling. I think I had enough for today⌠thank you so very much for your patience
Still struggling . I see that I can add new cards, but I canât get back to editing. I am thinking of getting Fluent forever app instead. I was told that it is much easier on it to create the flash cards.
I honestly have never used that app, so I canât say which one is better.
but for me (and a lot of people) Anki is really good, gives us more control over the cards, how they look, the scheduling and much more.
but anyways, you can try different options, and use what works best for you
but you can give shared decks a shot, see if you actually like how Anki works. if you liked it, you can try learning it (tho itâs not easy, itâs not that hard too)
if you didnât like it, you can try different apps and use what works best for you
You must be very smart then . I am too impatient. Normally, I think I am not stupid, but when it comes to such kind of stuff, software technology, I donât get it easily.
I think, once you created a card and saved it, you canât edit it, unless completely re do it
you can edit cards.
the thing is i have never used AnkiMobile (not an apple user :/)
but there should be an Edit note
Option somewhere in review screen.
maybe @pinnerup and @dae can help you figure out basics of AnkiMobile?
Thanks anyway!
No problem
Iâm sure theyâll help you with AnkiMobile
You can edit existing cards in a similar way to how you would with the computer version - either by tapping on Edit as youâre reviewing the card, or tapping or Browse, searching for the card, and then clicking/tapping on it to edit it.
Thank you for your help! Do you mean web version of the Anki? Because the app does have Edit on the top when revisiting the cards after you saved them. I checked it many times. I didnât realise I didnât have to buy the app, and could have just use the web version for free . Never mind, it is only ÂŁ23. All the YouTube tutorials are also referring to the web version as far as I understand.
I was referring to the downloadable computer version, which is what any guides youâve come across are probably referring to. AnkiWeb is primarily a service for keeping your devices in sync, and only offers basic functionality for when you donât have access to one of the other clients. If you want to install the computer version on a computer, you can get it from https://apps.ankiweb.net/
I have the app, but canât use it
Do you know if I can use the web version on my iPad?
Thanks
You can use the web version, but I think youâll find the app more convenient once you get used to it. If you are still having trouble editing your cards, please describe the steps youâre taking and how what youâre seeing differs from what you expect.
Hi Dao,
The thing is I started with the app, AnkiMobile, but couldnât worked out how it works. Now with some help from my friends on this forum , I think I am getting better at it. However, the app and the web version differ and it is annoying. Also I can seem to keep pictures I copied and pasted from Internet. They disappear next day. So my questions:
- How to keep on Anki the pictures copied from internet?
- Is there a way to sync the cards I created on app and Anki web version? Thank you
Hi Guillem,
I was wondering if you know how to sync web version of Anki with the app? The web version doesnât allow for drawing whereas it is possible using AnkiMobile.
Also the pictures I copy from the Internet disappear the next day. What do you think can be done?
Thank you!
in AnkiMobile you can sync your Ankiweb collection using the same account. Then download FROM ankiweb to yoor device (download). Also, make sure to check the box to sync media.
AnkiWeb doesnât support adding images to cards - please use either AnkiMobile or the computer version to add them. To learn how to set up syncing, please see https://docs.ankimobile.net/#/getting-started?id=cloud-sync
Assuming you are currently only using AnkiWeb and AnkiMobile, you can skip the step about the computer. You will need to choose which you wish to keep on the first sync - either your data on AnkiWeb, or the data youâve entered into AnkiMobile. Please choose Download if you want to keep the AnkiWeb data, and Upload if you want to keep the AnkiMobile data.
