Hi! I published a deck a while back. Recently it came to my attention that in the published version of the deck there are media files missing - ergo if I download the deck and import it into Anki, about 90 media files are missing. Locally (= in the Anki profile from which I shared the deck) those files are present. Any ideas why certain media files aren’t synced/published/shared via AnkiWeb?
Thank you so much in advance for any help
Did you check the media files locally before you release the deck?
Yes, I did. Nothing is missing there
That deck says that it includes 376 images – is the problem –
- That is the right number of files, but only 286 are being imported for users?
- There should be 466 images in the shared deck?
It’s the second case - there should be 466 images in the shared deck.
When I locally export the deck and reimport in a new Anki profile (exporting and sharing as analogies), all 466 images where correctly exported/imported.
Were all the media files available on AnkiWeb at the time you shared the deck? If you share it again after confirming they’re available, do you get the same results? If so, can you point me to an example card in your collection that does not export correctly?
I tried to re-share it in August (hence “Updated 2024-08-19”), but that had no effect. Since I had my medical licensing exams in the last two months, I only got around to posting this “issue” now.
I have now tried again and this time it worked - all images were successfully published/shared.
So sorry for wasting your time.
