The changes introduced to Anki dark mode in 2.1.24beta6 allowed a native macOS look by using the terminal and debug console commands on the beta build documentation. Now, when I open Anki 2.1.28beta6, I only see blank screens on the profile window, preferences window, add-on window, etc. but not the main, browser, or study window (I included one image but couldn’t attach more because my account is new). Even when I change the OS to light mode, the screen remains blank. I disabled all my add-ons to confirm it is behavior specific to the Anki application. After undoing the terminal and debug console commands, the application displays all the screens as intended. Is there a way to maintain a native macOS look on the latest version of Anki while in dark mode? My computer is running macOS 10.15.6 but I also encountered the issue in 10.15.5.
I see. Thank you for the reply and explanation. Hopefully that aspect of dark mode is something that will be able to come back in a future update. Overall, 2.1.28 is a welcomed update – thank you!
Hey! You mentioned that “After undoing the terminal and debug console commands, the application displays all the screens as intended.” I have exactly the same problem, and I am hoping that if I can undo night mode this should fix my issue - but since I can’t see anything in preferences I can’t find the menu option. Is there a command you used to fix this issue temporarily? Thanks!
