As I turn on Dark Mode on macOS, the home page of Anki remains whites, while the preference page turns to black. My macOS version is 10.15.5, Anki is 2.1.26. And I listed the add-ons that I install as below.
Does anyone have an idea what causes this? Thank you very much.
You will need to reverse the dark mode changes mentioned on https://changes.ankiweb.net/#/?id=changes-in-2124 - changing no to yes.
Is this what you mentioned?
defaults write net.ankiweb.dtop NSRequiresAquaSystemAppearance -bool yes
I tried this and restart Anki when macOS is in Dark mode, and the whole Anki is in Light Mode now.
Sorry I didn’t make it clear before that I want the homepage to be dark as well when I switch the system to Dark Mode in the night.

Anki now solely relies on the night mode setting in the preferences to decide whether to show in light or dark mode. Some users wanted to run Anki in light mode while keeping the rest of their system dark, and there were various display problems when dark mode was changed after Anki started that couldn’t be easily worked around.
