"Login Issue: Windows Version Requires Password, But No Password Option on Web/Android?"

Trying to log into the Windows version and it’s asking for a password, but here’s the thing - I never set one up before. When I used the web version and Android app previously, I just logged in with my phone number or WeChat. Now suddenly neither of those methods work anymore, and I can’t access my account through either platform…

The desktop version of Anki doesn’t require logging in to use it. Neither does the Android app – AnkiDroid. The website – AnkiWeb – does require a log in, but it doesn’t work with a phone number. Are you sure you have the right app? You can find links to all versions of Anki on our main site – https://apps.ankiweb.net .

I have a permanent membership and need to sync my account, but the Windows version keeps demanding a password I never set up. Also, are you doing system maintenance today? My Android app can’t receive SMS codes or log in, and the web version won’t load either.

Have you checked it’s the correct app (apps.ankiweb.net)? Anki doesn’t sell memberships or make use of phone numbers.

None of the words you’re using have anything to do with Anki. Please follow the link I posted so you can figure out what apps we support here.
