For some reason I cannot find a way to display the original ‘due’ number for cards in a deck I’m learning (as the ‘due’ number gets changed to the current date where the next revision occurs, and I can’t find another option in the columns?).
My use case is quite simple: I’m learning a personal deck as I’m creating it, and so sometimes I want to reposition cards because I thought of adding them later or earlier than where they should be in the ideal version of my deck.
Is there a way to display the original due numbers in a column, as it is before the revision mechanism kicks in?
This is something I am interested in too. My reason for wanting the ‘ideal version’ of the deck is I share it with other people.
Currently, I don’t believe there is a way to do what you want unless you move the deck to a different profile (without scheduling info). I am thus trying to add all the cards as I’m going through the deck.
Yes, that too, if you want to clean-up the deck to share it, that is an obvious case for being able to access those due numbers! Thanks for this, slightly frustrating to hear that it doesn’t seem possible! : >
This addon adds some extra columns to the browser that you might find useful. The card’s “First Review” property can serve as a proxy for original due (the addon has the “Original Due” column as well, but it doesn’t seem to work correctly on last versions of Anki)
This one looks promising, thanks! I just checked it on the MacOS desktop version (24.04.1), and it seems to be working fine… except it doesn’t seem to have this option in the columns! I have opened an issue on GitHub to suggest this feature.
