I was revising something outside Anki, when I realised that I had completely forgotten a piece of information. I have a card in Anki corresponding to this exact information. When I checked the card I saw that it is due in over 2 months.
How can I tell Anki that I have forgotten this information? What I think I want is to simulate pressing “Again” for the card.
If there is a way to do this, is it a good idea, or is there something I am not considering?
I don’t think you necessarily need to do it, but you can use the “Grade now” feature available on the latest Anki version.
Update your Anki if you haven’t already.

If you can’t find the Grade Now option, then go into the Browse window, filter for the card in the required deck, right-click on the card and set Due Date to Today. Then answer that card with Again, if that is what you want.
