How to manually set the date I learned a new card?

Hey everyone!

I am using Anki to schedule reviewing university lectures. So the information that I want to review/study is not on the cards. The cards just say something like “Statistics, lecture 1” The idea is that when I attend statistics lecture 1, then I answer the corresponding new card. (Because this is the date, when I actually learn the content for the first time). Then whenever the card is due I review this specific lecture. (I believe this is not 100% what Anki is designed for, but it helps me schedule my reviews effectively).

However sometimes I forget to answer the card on the date of the lecture. So when I later (when I remember) answer the card, the due dates are not reflecting when I actually would have to review. I can change the due date, which I do. However I cannot set it to the past. This is a problem, because I usually review the lectures in order of due date.

So for example, I attended the corresponding lecture on Tuesday, but forgot to answer the card. If I had answered it, then it would have been due on Wednesday. On Friday I finally remember about this and answer the card. I can then set it as due today, but not as due on Wednesday, which is in the past. This is a problem, because I usually sort the review cards in anki by due date or relative overdueness. Now in this case probably I would want to see this card before the cards that are actually due today. However because the due date is wrong, I often see others first.

Now my question is: Is there any way to manually set the date when I studied a new card? So I could just set this to the day when I actually attended the lecture? Or do you people with more anki experience have any other solutions in mind on how I could deal with this problem?

Thank you so much in advance for you reply. I would be very glad about any solutions for this
