Is it possible to set the study mode to show back of cards first, or have a random front/back selection? If not, this is a feature I would like to see added. I am using Anki to make language study cards and I find I need to learn the cards in both directions. Editing templates is not what I want. A simple option in the study mode should do this.
Have you considered the default template “Basic (and reversed card)”?
Of course it would be possible to randomize the front-/backside of single cards, but that involves editing the card templates with some JavaScript and it might even have a negative impact on study efficiency if the directions differ too much in difficulty.
