Filtered deck reviews not showing

I made a filtered deck. I want it to act like a normal deck in the sense that it should be able to show all due cards (learning and reviews) and new cards. However, it only shows cards in learning and new ones. It almost seems like it will show reviews after a new card (i.e. learning cards first, then a new card, then a review card, then a new card) but that makes no sense. New cards a 100% coming in before reviews though.
The settings/filter I have used is:
Search = (is:due OR is:new OR is:learn OR is:review)
cards selected by = order due

Thanks
More context: it is for learning a language. I chose cards with the “common word” tag for this to be a common word deck.

Filtered decks are fundamentally not like regular decks. But it sounds like your use case is quite similar to what regular decks are good at – so you should just be using a regular deck for it.

If you regularly want to study cards with that specific tag, that’s an excellent use for a deck/subdeck instead of (or in addition to) using a tag.

Ok, thank you. Is there is a way for me to move all the cards to a new dexk without removing them from the decks they are currently in? The cards are currently tagged according to their difficulty level and their commonality. Currently, they are in a main deck and sub decks according to their diffixulty level and the filteted deck is for commonality. So would i have to remove them from their diffixulty level deck in order to put them into a commonality deck?

There’s no way to do that. A card can only be in one regular deck.

But if you’ve got the notes tagged by difficulty, the cards don’t also need to be in subdecks by difficulty, do they? You could put everything together in one deck and not have to worry about managing subdecks.

Or at least, it would be pretty easy to move the cards back there when you’re done with this phase of “commonality” study, since you already have them tagged.

[If you really want to leave your regular deck structure alone, there are probably ways to fix the search filter on your deck. But it seems like a waste of time to be emptying and rebuilding a Filtered deck every day when a regular deck can do the “daily study” job so much better.]
