I am new to anki and currently back up my data by having a ankiweb account and that syncing my data.
I wanted to be safe and check for another way and now I know you can export your data as well.
So I was wondering when I export my data what is exported? All my progress? the entire deck? Anything else?

You can use the Export functionality from File > Export.
You have several options as you see. Exporting your whole collection in the .colpkg format will include scheduling information.

Okay I get what you saying so by selecting that one my progress that I’ve made on the collection will also be backed up?
Yes, your progress will be backed up.
