Delayed next card during review

I recently updated my Anki from 2.1.34 to 23.10.1.
Now during review when I’ve clicked on one of the four buttons to go to the next card, it sometimes freezes temporarily for lik 1 to 5 seconds. Often I have to either wait or go over with my mouse on the window before it actually switches to the new card.

Its a macbook air m2 15 inch.

Please help

You can try changing the video driver in Preferences and see if that helps.
