Having updated to the latest desktop version the custom colors are no longer sticky. I use this feature all the time - please fix or tell me what I am not doing right. Thanks in advance!

Can you give us any more detail about what you’re asking about?
I save out colors that I pick from the screen to the 16 Custom Colors boxes. Until the latest release these were saved so they could be used in my next session. This version is wiping them out between sessions so they are all white/blank on start up. Hope that is clear. I would like them to stay saved between sessions.

Yes - correct - at each session start the Custom color boxes are blank/white.

I’m having the same issue on my 2019 16-inch MacBook Pro. Here are my details. I hope this can be fixed, as I use it almost every day. I updated from version 25.02.5.

I have the same issue with the saved colours disappearing after quitting the app.
M2 Mac mini w/ MacOS 15.6
Version 25.07.4 (ca0459d8)
Python 3.13.5 Qt 6.9.1 Chromium 122
nb; Not sure why I’m still on v25.07.4 (the ones above show 25.07.5). I install from homebrew and it says the latest version is already installed.

I confirm that the issue still persists in 25.07.5 version. also I have to log in each time I restart the anki.
PS: I downgraded to 25.02.7 (Tools > Upgrade/Downgrade) and it solved both issues.

Since the bug hasn’t been fixed yet, I’m also considering downgrading. Is this safe and possible without problems? Unfortunately, I’ve already created several new cards with the latest version.

I’ve noticed a problem with customized colors when creating/editing cards (F8). The colors I set reset every time I restart Anki, even if I saved them the day before.

Hi,
After the latest update, Anki (on Windows) no longer saves the custom colors I add to the color palette. Every time I close and reopen Anki, the palette resets and all the custom colors are gone.
Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!

In Anki, the Change Color (of texts) option shows a color panel. I can select custom colors and use them while editing. However, after closing and reopening Anki, the selected colors in the color panel disappear and reset to default.
I would like to know if there’s a way to make Anki remember/save the custom colors in the color panel, or if I need an add-on to achieve this.

HomeBrew updates only the launcher. To update Anki itself, go to Tools → Upgrade/Downgrade in Anki and press Enter in the terminal window that opens.

Thanks for letting me about the update version discrepancy. In the end I downgraded to 25.02.7 to get the colours back.
