I just updated my anki to 25.09 on my desktop (mac). Now all of my decks are showing 0 new cards, except 1 that shows 16? I followed all the troubleshooting steps.
Things I know:
- The cards are not suspended
- This is not an options issue- I double checked and then maxed out both ‘new cards’ and 'reviews (see below)
- Creating a filtered deck doesn’t help
Does anyone have ideas? (Also, please forgive me my disastrously messy deck situation)
Did you update from a very old version of Anki? Nothing has changed this significantly recently, but if you were updating from a version that was a few years old (pre-FSRS, with a version number like 2.1.x, instead of the YY.MM format), it’s possible you were still using the v2 scheduler. That’s the only way I could imagine it was connected to the update.
Your search doesn’t tell us much. To find all available New cards in your collection, try –
is:new -is:suspended -is:buried -deck:filtered
- Your screenshot shows a single preset used by 147 decks. Is that your only preset?
- You have set deck-specific limits for “This deck” and “Today only” – so that won’t control all 147 decks. Are the other subdecks using their own deck-specific limits?
