New to Anki. Using a Mac. Successfully installed and created my first card in a deck. I was able to add audio. I came back in a week later to enter more and can no longer enter a card with editable options (font, audio, image) and no longer have a browse on home screen.
My options are very limited and work but the cards are very basic and to edit one I need to click through each card until I get to the card to edit versus search in a list/browse.
thank you!
You can open the Browse window by clicking Browse at the top of the main Decks list. Studying - Anki Manual
Did you install add-ons that have modified your display? If so, Troubleshooting Checklist – #2 restart in safe mode.
Other than that, I’m not sure what you mean by “can no longer enter a card with editable options (font, audio, image)” – perhaps you could give us a screenshot of what you’re seeing?

Hi Danika_
I was opening Anki in my Safari browser. I went into the desktop apps and and was able to get the editable card options I did not get via Safari. (see attached photos)
While in the desktop app I was able to synch what I entered in Safari.
I hope if I buy the app for the phone it is able to synch, too.
I did not install any add-ons.
That’s the AnkiWeb site, not the desktop version of Anki. It has a much more limited interface than the desktop app, so it’s mainly useful for studying on the go and making small edits.
Yes, AnkiWeb’s other job is that you can use it to sync your collection between your devices – Syncing with AnkiWeb - Anki Manual . You do that by syncing when you open the app (Anki, AnkiMobile, or AnkiDroid) on a device, and syncing again when you close/leave the app on that device.
