Any way to tell how much longer "Media Sync" will take?

My “Media Sync Log” has been running for 12+ hours. The numbers are still going up, so I know it is working.

I know it can take a while, and I don’t mind waiting, but is there a way to tell if it’s almost done?

Also, when it is done, it will give me a “media sync complete” message, right? Like I’m not supposed to hit “close” or “abort” at any point correct?

You can abort it, but it will resume where it left off when you sync again. It’s not possible to know the exact progress, but if you are uploading then the “checked” figure should be an upper bound on how long it will take.
