Anki skipping Card 2 when learning

I Have set up a deck with cards based on Basic (And Reversed) template, and it worked great, until some point, when Anki stopped showing me one of the two cards. I have all of the relevant burying settings turned off, and it seems that Anki still won’t show the cards.

Here’s a screenshot of a part of my deck sorted by the due date:

and here’s one after redoing the queue

I am very much curious of what is causing this behavior

Right, i forgot to mention this, but this is happening both on Android and Desktop. Also i will not be online for the next ~8 hours as it’s late in the evening, so i apologize for late responses in advance

Lots of possibilities –

  • The Card2s are buried. – Even though you already ruled that out, are you certain that you checked the Deck Options for the correct deck, the subdeck the cards are actually in?
  • The Card2s are suspended. – But from your screenshot that doesn’t appear to be the case.
  • The Card2s are not assigned to the same New-queue numbers as their siblings. – It’s hard to tell from your screenshot, but you’ll find that in the “Due” column instead of a due date. Look for a pair of siblings where both are still New.
  • The Card2s are in a different subdeck, and your daily New card limit or your New card gather order (or sort order) are not set in such a way that you are reaching your Card2s.

Thanks for the response, it seems like the issue was me having New card sort order set to “Card type” instead of “Order gathered”.

Now when i am thinking about this, i have started noticing this issue roughly around the time of setting the daily review limit very high (i essentially disabled it), which would explain why i didn’t see this behavior from the start

Again thank you for the response and i hope you have a great day
