For some reason, when I start up Anki on my laptop. Whenever I press “again”, the card does not show up after the respective time limit. However, when using Anki on my PC, the “again” cards will show up. Anki is synced to the same account, and from my review, the preferences and deck presets are exactly the same for my PC and laptop, so I’m not sure why I could be encountering this issue. I’ve tried changing the learn ahead limit, but the cards still do not show up on my laptop after pressing again.
I suspect this has more to do with the specific cards you’re studying, than it does with which device you’re using.
- How have you been able to determine that it doesn’t show up? Is it that it doesn’t show up in the correct minute when you’re expecting it, or that it doesn’t show up ever?
- How long are your learning steps? Make sure you’re checking the Options for the specific subdeck that card is in (not for a parent deck).
- Do you have a lot of Learn/Relearn cards already queued up and waiting to be studied?
- When you reach the end of your study session, what does the “Congrats” screen say about those cards?
