I recently just updated Anki in preparation for medical school after using the same version for a few years.
The issue I am having is that my “Again” cards (10m interval) are not showing up in 10m on the same day / they are not being represented in the red value above the answer buttons. In the previous version of Anki that I used, the cards I pressed “Again” for would keep showing up until I eventually pressed “Good” or “Easy” - I would like this to occur again instead of seeing the “Again” cards the next day! Any help is greatly appreciated. I have found forum postings on here with similar issues, but each user’s situation seems so unique and I feel like I need a personalized diagnosis for this issue.
Please see attached for screenshots of my preferences that were optioned via:
Preferences → Review Settings
Gear Icon → Options
Go to Preferences > Review > Learn ahead limit and set the value to 10m.
I am not sure about relearning card not counting towards red counter part. I think it should and even if you don’t do what I said you should be seeing your cards after 10m has elapsed.
The red counter will only indicate the number of Learn/Relearn cards that can be studied right now. A card on a 1m step will show there after the 1m delay has passed.
The learn-ahead limit is still the setting you need. But if you want to pull all Learn/Relearn cards forward to be reviewable immediately (if there are no other cards remaining to be studied), you need to set it for whatever your smallest largest step is. Preferences - Anki Manual
