Words showing up in the wrong order on desktop

When I use anki on my ipad the cards have the right order of words, but it shows up on the wrong order on my laptop. My laptop is set to Japanese but i set anki to Hebrew, same as my ipad. the sentences are unreadable; the words appear in the wrong order, the last word shows the first up in the sentence and the particle not in the right place, and i dont know how to fix it. i tried reversing the text direction in the card field but it didnt solve it. the same card shows properly on my ipad but its all messy in the desktop app… i dont really know how to explain it so i added two pictures of the same card with same setting (I am logged to the same account on both)

I’m not sure, but I would be inclined to believe that the RTL nature of Hebrew and the LTR nature of Japanese has something to do. Could you try changing your OS language to Hebrew and seeing if that works?

If by this you mean that you edited it in “Fields” – that only affects how the fields show in the note editor.

Since you are using Anki in a RTL language, you may need to explicitly format your cards as LTR. The manual explains how to do that formatting for RTL – just swap ltr in for that. Styling & HTML - Anki Manual

The reason for the difference between the platforms may be that they use different web engines that inherit the direction property differently, or that you have platform-specific styling in your note type anyway. Either way, explicitly setting your formatting shouldn’t hurt how your cards are displayed on iOS.
