Hi! Given recent updates for briefcase I wanted to see if a Windows on ARM option was going to be planned? I saw a feature request on Github but did not see one of these forums so I will just be requesting this feature on the official channel.
Thank you for all the work you do for the community. We really appreciate it!
Unfortunately it’s unlikely to come in the near future, as the current packaging tool we use has been abandoned by its authors, and we’ll likely need to migrate away from that first.
Is it possible to somewhat specify “near future”?
I’m using Anki a lot for creating flashcards for university. While the Prism emulation works fine for most of the features, it is quite laggy when adding new cards. Especially, when they contain a larger amount of text and / or pictures.
It would feel good to have the vision that Anki will perform better on Windows on Arm devices, at least in the (near) future.
Alternatively: Is it perhaps possible to support the upload pictures on AnkiWeb? If this would be possible, using AnkiWeb for Adding Cards would be a beautiful alternative on Windows on Arm.
