Updating batches of cards without "ze note id add-on"

I see in the latest versions of Anki you can export cards in .txt format and select that Anki adds a unique identifier.

If I make large changes in a .txt file I want to then update my anki deck. With ze note id add-on I would just select the unique note id as the first field and then this would add the unique changes to the cards.

What about now? The unique identifier isn’t a field.

I’m sorry, I don’t understand the question. The unique id in exported files can be matched on when importing again: Text Files - Anki Manual
