Unable to validate Hotmail email address for AnkiWeb sync

I am trying to sync Anki, and AnkiWeb is asking me to validate my email address.

My AnkiWeb account uses a Hotmail address. I can log in normally using this email address, and I also receive other Anki verification/security codes at the same address without any problem.

However, when I try to validate the email address, AnkiWeb gives me the following message:

“We were unable to deliver your email, as you appear to have (perhaps accidentally) marked one of our emails as spam in the past. Please choose a different email address.”

I have checked my Hotmail spam/junk folder and there is nothing from Anki there. I have also tried sending the validation email again, but I receive the same notification.

As the email address is working normally for Anki logins and other verification emails, is there a way to remove/reset this apparent spam block so that I can validate the existing email address?

I would prefer to continue using my current Hotmail address rather than change the email address associated with my Anki account.

I removed the spam block, so you can try again.

Be aware that if you didn’t report our emails as spam, it’s like your ISP/domain did. There’s a good chance they will do that again, so you should consider using a more stable address for your account.

Thanks Danika,
I resent the email, but nothing arrived. Now it says I tried too many times

What do you mean by a more stable address for my account? I have used this address for 10 years without a broblem?

I tried from my end too, but you’re ISP/domain is still rejecting the email, just like I predicted.

I meant an email address that will reliably accept our emails.

You can ask them to stop rejecting ankiweb.net emails – Emails not being received - Anki FAQs – but if they won’t, you’re going ot have to change to a different email address.
