Unable to study deck, despite it indicating more to learn

On the web version, computer app, and iPhone app, I have been having trouble with studying one of my decks. The problem started when I either renamed the deck or created a new deck for a different subject. Whenever I click on the option to study the entire deck, it says my studying is complete, even when it says I have cards to review, learn, and see for the first time. I am able to click on and study the subsections of the deck no problem, as well as study the new deck I created, however the option to study the entirety of the original deck no longer works. Also, my stats feature is broken for the original deck, for both the subsections and the entire deck, however it does work for my entire collection. I desperately need to study the original deck, especially since studying each section one at a time is not very helpful at this point.

First – try running Tools > Check Database to make sure everything is well-connected in your database.

It sounds like you might not be using the Options preset that you think you are for each of your decks – Deck Options - Anki Manual . If you want all of the decks to use the same settings, go to the top-level deck and click “Save to All Subdecks.”

The daily New card and max review limits interact between parent- and subdecks – The Anki v3 scheduler - Anki FAQs . That seems like the most likely reason your parent-deck has reached its limits while your subdecks haven’t. If you have your subdecks properly limited, you can set your parent-deck to unlimited (“9999”) for its “This deck” limits, and it will let everything filter up from the subdecks. If you want more suggestions about how to fix something, you’ll have to tell us what isn’t working for you.

If fixing the above things doesn’t help, you’ll have to tell us more about what “broken” means.

Using Check Database restored the function of my deck and stats. Thank you very much!
