"Turning a whole textbook into Anki flashcards with one click..."

that’s a clickbait,

  1. he claim to have a partially working script
  2. didn’t work for EVERY single book
  3. didn’t make the code publicly available (could email him)

any alternative?
i am also a MS and would like to one click to turn my ECG, imaging and clininical photo books into anki.

thanks

Check this out. It uses ChatGPT to convert a PDF into flashcards (with a bit of inaccuracy to it but it’s enough)

afair, it cant handle photos, graphics.

ONLY TEXT.

i tried sometime before.

GPT4 alike are still mainly text only.

There might be alternatives for image recognition when it comes to automating textbooks to flashcards, but that may take too long to do with AI, even with the plugins.

Saw this “anki-decks” site who promises to create cards with AI, even from image. Didn’t try tho.

the author of IOE/native IO seems also claim to have developed some AI to handle automation, may be auto hide text in graphics? not sure it can grab photo from pdf .

any alternative?

If it’s a simple copy-paste work, I can do something similar and make a pre-made Anki deck on commission, but it will cost 10-20-60 USD.

It might take from a few days to a few weeks, but I won’t be able to do much in the next few weeks and it might take a bit longer.
