There’s coming another semester of my medical school and I am looking for the best (or at least good) app or addon to autogenerate flashcards from pdf to save time. Does anyone have some recommendations?
This is not AI, so this is not an answer for my question
Thanks for the mention. These AI tools support PDF and have recently become popular. (They are paid tools)
- Web tool : Anki decks
- Add-on : AnkiBrain (AnkiChatGPT) - GPT-4, GPT 3.5 Complete Integration
- Web tool : Wisdolia
This add-on is for manually creating cards from pdfs. (Not AI, perhaps AI tools are not yet common in the Anki community and manual work is more popular.)
Though not for creating flashcards and for PDF, I developed an add-on for using AI for Anki reviews, it is completely free to use.
Good time to bring this up. Here is what a research found:
Moreover, 53.0% of students would use ChatGPT to generate Anki© cards if there were tutorials available instructing people how to do so.
The issue is lack of knowledge (and maybe the other tools being paid). Source is a survey done among US medical students:
All these answers are amazing, but had anyone actually tried these apps? If yes I would really appreciate honest opinion about them
Langflow to create workflows that split PDFs into parts + ChatGPT or Claude API to process the content. I prefer Claude for its fluency and quality in responses, but both APIs work well for automatically generating flashcards for Anki.
