Trying to Create Filtered Deck

I want to create a filtered deck based upon my main deck that contains cards that both:

  1. have a specific tag and
  2. are due

I have tried entering Filters of:

  1. tag:{tagname} and is:due
  2. tag: {tagname} is:due

but it tells me that “no cards matched the provided search.”

EDIT: I can build an initial filtered deck with a specific tag, but doing so places all cards into the deck, including ones that are not due. The cards that are not yet due are listed as “due” and presented when I try to study the deck.

You can confirm your search is correct by searching in the browse screen. If the cards appear there, maybe they are suspended, buried, or already in a different filtered deck.
