I’ve recently downloaded AnkiMobile on my IPad, which is iOS 10.3.3 and only supports an older version of Anki. Now I am having trouble syncing it with my computer, which has the Anki app version 2.1.44 (probably a newer one). Do you have any suggestions on how to solve this problem?
Clicking ‘downgrade and quit’ each time you close Anki on the desktop should resolve the problem. You could also use an older version of Anki on the desktop. I’m not sure which one would be the best option but maybe try 2.1.40.
Can you tell us which version of AnkiMobile you’re using? (Cog → About)

I’m using the AnkiMobile 2.0.48 (20048.5) version! This is what appears on the screen after I press the Sync button on my IPad
Using a recent computer version, if you go into the preferences screen, you can enable the legacy timezone option, and that should allow you to sync again.
