There is no letter "l" in menu of the app

Hello, I have very weird problem with my anki on windows (version 25.02). The app does not display lowercase letter L (“l”) - only in the menu of the app though. The letter is present in cards. Have you any ideas how to fix it? It irritates me a bit :slight_smile:

  1. Have you checked Troubleshooting - Anki Manual? Especially 2 and 6.
  2. What happens when you change the system-font? Does the problem go away?
  3. Can you send a screenshot, in case the above steps didn’t help? It is quite a strange issue.

So my points 1 and 2 didn’t help?

Can you go to the preferences and change your language to us english, then close and reopen anki? Does that make the l appear in e.g. the File menu?

Change of language doesn’t help - I didn’t change system font though - is it possible that it only works that way i anki app? I am not sure if I can change font in Win11.

Unlikely, but worth a try. It’s odd though, since only the qt things (like the menu) seem to be affected on your system. If windows doesn’t allow changing the font and you tried everything from troubleshooting already, then I’m out of ideas.

Maybe someone else here has an idea or it happened to them on windows.

I don’t think you can (easily) change the font. What about –

  • Zooming in/out, in the View menu
  • Preferences > Appearance > User interface size – and restart
  • Changing the video driver – Troubleshooting Checklist #6 [oops, you already tried that]

Does that mean that you see the same thing in English? Or that changing to English and then changing back to … this language [you haven’t said, and I don’t think I should try to guess] doesn’t fix things here?

Please also go to Help > About – click Copy Debug Info – paste that here when you respond.

Wow, changing interface size was a game changer! It works, thank you.
In english was the same - the letter “l” was absent in words but only in menu as in polish, but it all works in zoom even with the 101% (at first I tried 115%) value.

Is that the full version info? You don’t have any add-ons?
