Anki is great for focused learning but doesn’t have the same amount of usefulness for passive learning. To correct this how about adding this feature?
Passive play.
You select deck(s) and anki plays them either in order created, randomly, or according to a certain specification. It does this without affecting the review times. This would be especially good for decks created with audio where you just want to have the front and/or back playing while you go through your day. Or even perhaps you want to take your (tired) eyes off the screen and take learning to a more relaxed place for a while.
These days there are add ons like awesome TTS so there will only be more decks being created with audio.

Trains your attention and speed by performing automated actions if you take too long to go through your reviews. Three different levels of ‘encouragements’ are provided:
- automatically play an alert
- automatically reveal the answer
- automatically fail the card
All of these can be configured individually for each deck options group.
There is auto-good, but on the anking add-ons folder https://www.ankipalace.com/downloadable-content
I’ve seen that add on but it is about focusing more. It also affects the answers no? I think something passive that just plays the cards without affecting the algorithm would be good.
