Suggestion: Add Proxy Configuration Option in Anki for Windows

Hello,

I would like to suggest adding a manual proxy configuration option in the AnkiDroid application for Windows. Currently, the app does not seem to inherit or respect the system proxy settings, which makes it difficult—or even impossible—to use on networks that require a proxy connection.

Having a built-in option to configure proxy settings (host, port, authentication, etc.) would greatly improve accessibility for users in corporate, educational, or restricted network environments.

Thank you for your attention, and for all the great work on the project!

Do you mean Anki (for windows, mac, linux) or AnkiDroid (which is the Android app) or both?

Sorry, I didn’t explain it correctly. I only use AnkiDroid for Windows, so I don’t know if this is also a problem on Mac or Linux.

Perhaps you’re using the wrong name, because AnkiDroid is an Android version of the Anki app. Are you running it in an emulator or something?

That’s a key question here. Maybe the proxy doesn’t work with your emulator (in case you use one).

Sorry for mentioning AnkiDroid — it’s just a habit, since I use it more on Android than on Windows — but I’m referring to the Windows version of the app.
P.S.: Description updated.
