Sharing deck publicly and scheduling

Hi all,

First time using AnkiWeb and the public sharing feature for our big cohort. I’ve tried to search for what is actually shared but from a YouTube video tutorial, it seems fully automatic. Sooo… my question is -

Can we choose to share a .apkg instead of .colpkg during the public share process? Or in other words - if someone downloads my deck from https://ankiweb.net/shared/decks, will it mess up my schedule?

I haven’t tried it yet, as I thought I’d ask first before doing something that might not be reversible.

AnkiWeb’s shared decks are .apkg files, and not connected to your original deck.
