Scheduling for 1h 1d 1w for individual decks

If you have a deck you need to review daily or every other day, here’s a simple step-by-step guide:

  1. Create a New Preset
  • In Anki, open the deck settings.
  • Click the arrow next to “Save” and select Create New Preset.
  • Then, click the arrow next to the new preset’s name to switch to it.
  1. Adjust Advanced Settings
  • Scroll down to Advanced Settings.
  • Find the Maximum Interval setting and set it to how often you want to see the same card at most.
    • Example: Set it to 1 if you want to see the card daily.
  1. Adjust New Card Settings
  • In the New Cards section, you’ll see a place to set the learning steps (the times after you press “Again” or “Good”).
  • Format: (Xm, Xh, Xd), where X is the number you want.
    • Example: (1m 5m 10m 1d)
      • 1m = after 1 minute (when you press Again)
      • 5m = after 5 minutes (first Good press)
      • 10m = after 10 minutes (next Good press)
      • 1d = after 1 day (after another Good)
  • You don’t need to manually set a time for “Hard” responses — Anki will automatically use half the interval of “Good.”
  • When I was trying to set this up myself, I couldn’t find a clear step-by-step guide. People usually just dropped the Anki manual link, which wasn’t super helpful for beginners. I hope this guide makes it easier for you!
