Randomize all new Cards doesnt work (first day anki)

Hey guys, im new into anki and have a little problem:

I have a master deck with all my subdecks in it. I clicked “random order” but i still get the new cards in alphabetical order from a subdeck.

I readed somewhere that i need to enable v2 schedular in my options. But there isnt such an option. And the HoochiePapa Addon isnt compatible with my version too.

Please help :frowning:

Edit: the goal is that my new cards are random from all subdecks

What does the subdeck display under Options → New Cards → Order?

  1. click New in browser, then Ctrl-A select all your new cards, choose Repositon

What @Ankinoob describes is the expected behaviour. Randomising across sub decks may come in the future, until then you can use a Filtered Deck.

Just got notified that 50 people clicked my link, and as it happens, full randomisation is now supported. :partying_face:
It requires Anki 2.1.50 (only beta at the time of writing) and the v3 scheduler.
