Random blank card(s) at top of various tags when viewing list of cards under Browse

This is happening randomly. I keep the “Browse” menu open so I can add notes to various cards while studying. Every so often, I click on a tag and find that various cards are entirely blank. They end up migrating either to the very top or the bottom of the list of cards under that tag. I do not understand why this is happening, as I have never deleted the text field of these cards. I went to AnKing settings and made sure both Extra and Text are not protected fields, but this is still happening. I do not even know which cards I have lost because of this. This has been happening for several months now, but it is becoming more frustrating since I am getting closer to an exam I’m preparing for. The screenshot showing what I’m referring to is below. I’d appreciate any advice on how to fix this. Thanks!
Also, this card has not been deleted by the deck creator, as I clicked on note history and it shows that only tags have been edited over time, not the content of Text and Extra.

This might end up being a better question for AnKing/AnkiHub Community, since their syncing mechanism seems like the only way a note could be gutted like this, but let’s see what you can tell from the Anki side.

  1. If you click Preview above the note editor, I assume it says “This card is blank”? That’s the most reasonable outcome since the important fields are empty.

  2. Take a look at the Card Info for this card. Does it have any review history?

  3. Is it possible that the “View Note History” looks like it does because this card was already empty before the deck was shared by the creator?

  4. Have you asked the deck creator what’s going on with these empty notes?

  5. Can you tell more about what note this is/was through the other AnkiHub buttons – suggest a change, view on AnkiHub? Or by searching some of the other tags?

As this is an important review card (and after checking the above, it does not appear to be deleted), I’ve reached out to the creator of the deck on the appropriate forum. Thanks!
