On the latest silicon release I’m getting an issue where anywhere between 1/10 to 1/100 cards will randomly appear blank.
I flip a card, and respond 1,2,3,4
Next card appears with appropriate card type CSS (i.e. the background is the appropriate color for the card) but no text/images are shown. Flipping the card still doesn’t reveal anything.
The only solution at this point is to leave the Deck then enter it again.
Does anyone else have this issue?
EDIT: Sometimes leaving the Deck and returning doesn’t help. I just confirmed by hitting EDIT on a given blank card that the same card will show up as blank or actually render correctly in what appears to be a random pattern.
I think I’ve IDed the problem to a potential glitch with card type caused by the Ankihub addon and Anking deck. There are cards for which there is no card type and the ability to change card type from Edit is not available. These cards now display as blank. I have not manually changed the type so I’m guessing it’s a glitch/change pushed by the Ankihub addon.
Even if I get past these cards, the glitch seems to stick with cards that DO have a card type. For these cards, if I leave the Deck and enter again, the problem resolves.
It’s possible that the card template contains JavaScript/CSS styling which is breaking the review screen - please report the issue to them if you haven’t already.
