Only the A and Start Buttons Work in One Nintendo JoyCon Mode on iPhone 13 Mini

No buttons besides the A and Start buttons work on a Nintendo JoyCon when connected to Anki on an iPhone. It only works normally when both JoyCons are connected on iOS AnkiMobile, but I only want to use one Joycon as a remote, and the other JoyCon disconnects after a few minutes which causes the JoyCon I’m using to stop working, making me have to reconnect the left JoyCon even though I don’t want to use it or drain its battery. The JoyCons function properly on a Nintendo Switch and Windows PC on Anki and on AnkiDroid, even in one JoyCon mode. The left JoyCon also only has the Start and right arrow buttons working, but AnkiMobile thinks the right arrow button is an A button. I’ve seen of others having the same issue 9 months ago on Reddit.

Thanks

Based on what you’re describing, I suspect that a single Joy-con doesn’t satisfy the iOS “extended controller profile” requirements. That’s what AnkiMobile can support. Preferences - AnkiMobile Manual
