Odd behavior - buried cards

I’ve occasionally noticed an issue where I study in the morning, and then a few hours later I discover that I actually have a lot more to do than previously shown. For example, a day or two ago, in the morning Anki showed 150 cards to do, and then later in the day it showed 225 remaining. I don’t know how to reproduce this issue, but this morning I think I proved that it has something to do with buried cards or notes. My deck has “Bury review siblings” and “Bury interday learning siblings” enabled.

I thought, “that’s odd; there should be more to do. I wonder if my cards are still buried from yesterday.” But no, the browser showed NO buried cards. Then I studied a couple more cards, buried ONE note, and immediately the number remaining increased substantially:

It’s very strange! Any ideas?

That does seem odd. After the next beta version is released, please give it a try and less us know if the issue crops up again.

Okay, thanks. In the last few days I’ve tried to reproduce the behavior, but it hasn’t happened again, so it doesn’t seem easy to reproduce.
