Notifications and badges not showing

Hello,
For some weeks my Anki stopped showing me notifications and badges would only show after I open the app.
Badges
This is what the app looks like before I open it

These are my scheduler settings. Before the badge would just automatically update at 4am

Notifications
Before this I never needed notifications, but now they’re necessary to remind me to do my flash cards, but they just don’t pop up. Here are my settings in Anki

What I’ve tried:

  • Switching on Background app refresh
  • uninstalling and reinstalling Anki
  • switching off and on notifications in Anki
  • switching off and on notifications in ios settings

Would anyone be able to help me out with this? I’m happy enough if we can get the badges to work, don’t really need notifications if those are updating properly.

The app needs to be running in the background to be able to update the badge overnight. Are you manually closing it or turning your device off at night? That will prevent the badge from being updated.

Yes, I’ve been closing it manually. Thanks for the help, I’ll leave the app in the background from now on :slight_smile:
