Not receiving confirmation email?

Hi there,

Been a long time since I logged into Anki and am going through the verify email process. I am using a standard gmail address and seem to be stuck at the “The email is currently in transit, and has not yet been accepted by your email provider. You can refresh this page to check on progress.” stage.

It does not advance past this note and I have tried sending the email a second time. It is not in my Spam, Junk, or Trash folders.

Is there anything I can do to ensure the email goes through?

I tried to verify my Anki account, but no emails are coming through. I’ve tried everything suggested on the support website, but nothing has helped—especially since everything was working fine just yesterday. Now I’m completely clueless about what to do.

I am having the exact same issue right now, also with a gmail account.

EDIT: Resolved now, got the email.

Same happening here. Now I can no longer sync my account, as its asking me to log in.

Same problem, I never received the confirmation email even though I changed my email address as advised. I'm stuck and can no longer use Anki on my computer or phone. Could you please resend me a confirmation email? Thank you. Arca

I’m having the same issue. I’ve already tried changing my email address and even created a new one specifically for this, but nothing works.Could you please help me activate my account manually?

I’ve tried to sync my anki but It says failed because email address needs to be reconfirmed. I’ve tried to do this multiple times on ankiweb but haven’t received an email. It now says no more emails can be sent. I’ve also tried to reset my email address but this hasn’t worked either.

Based on the volume of posts and tickets about this in the past few hours, it looks like Gmail was not receiving messages [or at least not our messages] for about 3 hours, and that issue has now resolved itself. I’ve checked each of your accounts an they are now showing as verified. Thank you all for letting us know!

i also have not received the conformation email for my anki web account as i cant access
i changed the email and the problem is still the same
and havent recived the conformation email neither on the old or the new email address

i’m also struggling with the same issue. i’ve changed my email address three times and i still haven’t gotten the confirmation email. i now can’t attempt to send anymore emails to my email address so i’m stuck in this predicament.

Hi, I am also experiencing this issue still. It doesn’t seem resolved for me yet. I am not receiving any verification emails.

Hello, I am also having the same issue with gmail as the provider. I got the confirmation email from Anki forum instantly but for Anki it still hasn’t come about an hour later.

Same here, the verification email for the Anki forum was sent immediately for me but it has been 30 minutes and I still haven’t received a verification email for my Anki account

EDIT (11:12 am): received the emails about 10 minutes ago, thank you!

Hello Danika, it’s been well past 40 minutes since I posted on this forum and I haven’t received an email from Anki so that I can proceed to confirm my email address… please help.

For those of you still waiting, perhaps you’ve seen the news about the huge internet outage today – Amazon cloud outage takes down many online services | AP News ? There is very little internet traffic these days that doesn’t rely on AWS to some extent. I think once that fully resolves, the emails will make it through.
