I have created new cards on my laptop. (Mac) Created an ankiweb account. Pressed sync. It said the ankiweb did not have any cards, to replace with mine. or something similar. I said Yes. and now they have gone… how do I undo, or retrieve?
I can see them still under Browse.
Fingers crossed…
Thank you everyone for an amaing tool.
I have read others have done this too. How do I avoid it in future? Do I need to email someone to retreive it, if so who? tx
Please could someone point me at some info to understand where is the best place to originate and sync. I’d like to make and use them on both my mac lap top and iphone. tx
I’m not exactly tech savvy and was well chuffed at making the cards!
If you synced in the wrong direction, you can restore from an automatic (or manual) backup. Restoring an Automatic Backup (Recovering from Data Loss) - FAQ. You’ll lose any reviews and changes you’ve made since that backup was created].
But before you do that …
If you can still see your notes/cards in the Browse window – what do you mean when you say they are gone?
Read the warning messages around syncing very carefully.
Hi
Thank you so much.
If that helps….
thank you

It looks like you just learned everything that there was to learn today. So simply wait for tomorrow? Or you can increase your daily limits in decks’ settings, if you wish to continue studying new cards immediately.
