New Cards per Day not working

Hi there,

My new cards per day for my deck is set to 25. However, when I choose to do 25 questions from a SubhanAllah topic within the deck, the total number of news left for the whole deck is 0, but other Sub-decks still say 25. I attached a picture to explain what I mean. Any advice on how to fix this?

(so in the picture, total new for RCWritten-year is 0, but some decks within it like MCQ still says 25)

This section of the manual may be relevant: Deck Options - Anki Manual

If your deck has subdecks, each deck can optionally be assigned a different preset.

If you click on the gear icon next to the deck in question, you may find that it is using a different preset?

No, I only have a default setting that I use for all my decks. I tried going in and saving again. But no difference.
