New cards in wrong order

Hi,

When I add new cards, they appear with a lower “due” number than cards that were added previously. For example, If I add 3 new cards today, I will see them the next time I study new cards. However, if I added 3 cards the day before, I will not see them until I’ve studied the 3 new cards that I added today.

In Deck Options>New Cards> the setting is “Sequential(oldest cards first)”.

I’ve been using anki for many years and have never had this problem. Please let me know if there is a fix.

In deck options > Display order > New card gather order you probably have selected “Descending position”. You should choose “Ascending position” instead.

You may need to use Tools>Check Database to refresh Anki’s idea of what number should come next.
