Network error macOS

Whenever I try syncing my Anki on desktop, I get the error below:

A network error occurred.
Error details: ⁨error sending request for url (): connection error: Broken pipe (os error 32)

It isn’t a huge deal because the sync still goes through normally (cards get updated appropriately when I check from my phone). However, it’s gotten annoying as it pops up every time I sync. I tried disabling my firewall, switching to a different network, removing all my add-ons, and reinstalling Anki, but no luck.

Any idea why this might be occurring and how to stop it?

Is there any VPN, antiviral software etc involved?

Does it go away when you turn off media syncing in the preferences?

Not sure if this was related, but I was having issues with receiving Slack notifications as well. Went to activity monitor ⇒ killed notification center ⇒ restarted Anki and that seemed to solve the issue for whatever reason
