Problems synching anki desktop

When trying to sync (anki desktop windows, 2.1.54 (qt6), no add-ons), I receive the following error message: “A network error occurred. Error details: error decoding response body: expected value at line 1 column 1”
I have restarted anki several times, checked the database and tried to force a full sync - to no avail. Syncing the database on my mobile with ankidroid works fine.

Any other ideas would I could do?

Maybe a proxy/VPN/antivirus program on your computer is interfering?

Thank you for the quick reply! That might have been the case as I have been using anki on a company laptop. Today everything seems back to normal
